Shearwater is made up of a commercial team with over 125 years experience, an equestrian team who each own their own horses, and are heavily committed to the welfare and protection of yours, and motor insurance experts who can explain what you need and why you need it.

Our claims and compliance team make sure we’re sticking closely to FCA guidelines as well as maintaining high standards in treating customers fairly, and our claims handlers are available for those times when you need your insurance policy to show its worth.

What we do to help

Nobody wants to make an insurance claim, but if an incident occurs it can be a stressful, emotional, and unnerving period of time. This is why we provide you with a dedicated claims handler to help support you through the process of making a claim to make it as simple and painless as possible for you.

Each team knows their area inside and out, and are on call on both evenings and weekends as we understand that accidents and problems don’t always happen between 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
