As a riding instructor, you have a duty to ensure your clients are riding safely; your livelihood is at stake if you do not, so it is important to take steps to protect yourself in the event of an incident. This is why instructors insurance is imperative.

Your Responsibility as an Instructor

As a riding instructor, you have a duty to ensure your clients are riding safely; If you do not do that and an incident occurs which causes your client to suffer injury or property damage they can make a claim against you and if you are found negligent this can run in to thousands of pounds. This is an insurance designed to cover you against this type of incident.  It will also cover you for any legal fees incurred in defending yourself against such a claim.  If you teach at all or hold clinics it would be wise to take this cover.
