First on your event checklist
Some of us are born organisers. For others, the idea of committing time, money and effort into the planning of an event could be worrying. Whichever is the case, event insurance can make sure that those nightmares need not turn into reality.
- Events cancellation, abandonment or postponement
- Hired equipment
- Public and employers’ liability
- Marquee cover
- Property damage
- Indoor and outdoor events
- Terrorism
When you have an idea of your event, speak to our commercial team at Shearwater. With an idea of your plans and the finer details of your event, we will look into a suitable events insurance policy that will cover you for minor issues or bigger problems that might develop before, during and after the event.
Easing The Stress
Even when things go completely according to plan, hosting an event can still be a stressful time, even for seasoned professionals. There is inevitably the last minute rush that comes with even the best laid plans and though you think you have covered every base for your wedding, conference, live show, exhibition or social event, something still may go wrong. Event insurance is created for this possibility, whether it is a problem with the caterers, terrible weather, or the venue going out of business.
One Off Event Insurance
Unlike many other commercial insurance policies, at Shearwater we can offer event insurance policies that are for either one off events, or annual events. Of course there is the chance that you won’t need to make a claim – for the sake of your event we hope this is the case – but the cost of the premium is always going to be marginal compared to the potential cost of event cancellation, especially when you factor in the non-refundable deposits for third party suppliers. On top of that, there’s also the risk of legal costs for liability claims on the day.
