Car Breakdown Insurance

Suffering a car breakdown is never convenient, whether you are left stranded at the side of the road or unable to leave home, effective breakdown cover it what you need.  Getting you back on the road as quickly, and as safely as possible, is our main concern.  Whether that is getting the car fixed at the side of the road or providing you with onward travel, Shearwater's car breakdown insurance aims to get you mobile again as soon as possible.

What's covered?

• Roadside Rescue - the RAC will fix (if possible) you vehicle at the roadside, as long as you're over 1/4 mile away from home
• Recovery - if your vehicle can't be fixed the RAC will recover you to your chosen destination, along with up to 8 passengers, to any UK destination
• Home Start - a flat battery at the start of the day is never ideal, neither is a breakdown package that doesn't provide cover for 'at home' support.  The RAC will attend your car at home, or within 1/4 mile of your home
• European Coverage - providing breakdown cover in 48 countries, and their offshore islands across continental Europe
